The leading conference for associations, society and institute executives has announced the move of its annual summer Associations Congress 2012 to ACC Liverpool in 2012, after 5 consecutive years in London.

The Liverpool venue recorded a turnover of £14.5m compared to just over £13m for the previous 12 month period, for figures based on audited accounts for the year ended 31 March 2011.

ACC Liverpool, home to BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, will promote destination Liverpool under the "It's Liverpool" brand to over 3000 European global meetings and events buyers this week at industry event, EIBTM. The team will introduce a host of new sales and marketing initiatives along with a development update on the venue's expansion plans.

ACC Liverpool celebrated its 6th annual showcase event in London yesterday, 22nd November. The event brought together destination Liverpool's conference and events scene to over a hundred corporate, association and agency buyers, as well as trade press and representatives from the venue's group of affiliates.

The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) has announced ACC Liverpool, home to BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, as the chosen venue for its 33rd British International Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2013. The international annual congress will host over 1200 trainee, consultant and specialist obstetricians and gynaecologists from over 50 representative countries.
