Destination Liverpool stars in TV campaign
VisitLiverpool is working closely with VisitEngland to profile the destination within the campaign, which is a massive coup as Liverpool is the only City Region to be featured in the main advert.
There will be two different versions of the TV ad, covering 40 and 60 seconds, and it will be broadcast for the first time on 8 March and run until 14 May, 2012.
Liverpool will also have its very own 10-second showcase advert. This will run on from the main advert throughout April, and will also be broadcast at various key times.
The advert will be broadcast on various terrestrial and satellite channels – and is a fantastic opportunity for national and international TV exposure to promote the destination.
As well as the TV advert, there will be online and social media activity to support the campaign – and tourism businesses across the City Region are being encouraged to get involved. Participation is free.
A special VisitEngland GREAT 2012 microsite has been developed and viewers can go online to find special offers at the destination of their choice via an interactive map. Businesses are being asked to upload special deals on accommodation, attractions and restaurants. It can be found here.
The offers will be live from 8 March through to 31 December, 2012.
