There is no corner of the BT Convention Centre that isn’t fully accessible to all our guests, with easily accessible drop-off points, toilets, lifts and entrances in all areas too.
There is fully accessible parking available in the car park adjacent to the convention centre where a number of spaces are available for ease of use, although it is not free for Blue Badge holders. Lifts in the car park feature a mirror to aid reversing out of the lift and have both visual and audible floor indicators. The route from the car park to the entrance is accessible for wheelchair users, although assistance may be needed as the route does include some ramps but visitors can also be dropped off on the riverside of the centre for direct access at the drop off point.
Induction loops and seating
Once inside the building, the reception desk and Visitor Services area both are both equipped with a fixed loop hearing system. In the auditorium, there are 12 designated spaces for wheelchair users; if speakers include wheelchair users they can access the stage directly from a level entry point and all our backstage facilities are fully accessible.
An induction loop is available in specific seating areas and a seating area is available within the accessible bay for blind patrons who need to bring a guide dog. If you have any questions about special seating requirements please contact our sales team 0151 703 7272.
The BT Convention Centre’s Heathcotes cafe is fully accessible for all guests; there is ample room for wheelchair users to manoeuvre. None of the tables or chairs are permanently fixed and none of the chairs have armrests. Our menus are clearly written and presented in contrasting colours and food is prepared to order, so we are more than happy to cater for your specific dietary requirements.
There are eight accessible toilets within the BT Convention Centre; toilets are available on every floor of the building.
Motorised scooters are allowed in public parts of the venue – visitors can charge scooters or wheelchairs at the venue and guide dogs are welcome at ACC Liverpool. The availability of BSL signers varies according to bookings at the BT Convention Centre, please call our team on 0151 475 8888 if you have any further accessibility questions.
