At the BT Convention Centre we’ll go the extra mile to make sure every delegate feels at home here. We provide a range of essential services on site to cater for our guests, giving you everything you need for a seamless business meeting, exhibition or conference.
Technical and Production Services
Visitors to the BT Convention Centre have an AV package included in the fee with each booking, which varies depending on the space you’ve hired; more detailed information about each package is available from your event manager or production technician. BT Openzone
Wi-Fi is available across the BT Convention Centre Galleria through BT Openzone. If you're already a member of BT Openzone you’ll be able to log in via the BT Openzone website.
Internet access can be purchased for other areas of the BT Convention Centre from the events team.
Cleaning
Cleaning at the BT Convention Centre is provided by our service partner ISS. In line with our environmental policies, ISS’s cleaning products are completely chlorine free, and the company has recently won a Green Apple award for its practices. Cleaning rounds of the building take place throughout the day to make sure that all of our facilities are maintained to the highest possible standard.
Cleaning is provided as part of our conference package with hygiene technicians throughout the event conducting spot checks and cleaning areas; a thorough overnight clean takes place at the end of every day and our team provides ongoing cleaning throughout the build period of event. More specialist cleaning services, including syringe disposal, unusual waste treatments and shredding services are available as an extra package; your event manager can provide you with more details.
Staging
Staging is provided as part of our package in the flat-floored halls, including the Multi-Purpose Hall, arena floor and some of the smaller halls upstairs. Purpose-built sets can also be provided for exhibitors at an extra cost; your event manager will be happy to provide quotes for you.
Food and drink
Our service partner Heathcotes Outside runs the café inside the Galleria, which offers a tasty range of fresh sandwiches and snacks along with a selection of drinks. Heathcotes also provides catering for banquets in our 1800-seat dining hall and a flexible range of canapés, appetisers and snacks for meetings, drinks receptions and functions throughout the BT Convention Centre.
Heathcotes made its name providing a mouth-watering range of local, organic and seasonal produce – free range corn-fed Goosnargh duck, chicken from Reg Johnson and Morecambe Bay potted shrimps are just some of the local delights you might find on your menu at the BT Convention Centre.
There are also a number of other food and drink options on site; you'll find the contemporary Innfusion restaurant, Inntro bar and Il Barista coffee bar at Jurys Inn, opposite the convention centre, plus a branch of Pizza Express with views over the piazza.
