The BT Convention Centre’s service partners provide the best possible technical expertise on site and allow the flexibility required to scale up to and down for your event – our team swells to a staff of between 300 and 400 for major events and many of our key experts are provided by service partners.
We also work alongside the Liverpool Convention Bureau (LCB), which provides a full range of services for conference organisers, leaving you to concentrate on the success of your event. The dedicated team of conference organisers can provide the contacts, ideas and know-how to make your conference a success and its bespoke service extends to pre- and post-conference assistance, too. All Liverpool Convention Bureau services are free of charge.
Pre-conference
Pre-conference services are comprehensive and include:
- finding the perfect venue for your event
- providing online conference searches
- arranging transport and familiarisation visits
- managing accommodation bookings
- arranging study tours
- providing travel options
- helping with bid preparation
- providing delegate welcome materials
During the conference
By the time the conference is under way, your planning will have borne fruit and your delegates will be enjoying the seamless flow of proceedings. Liverpool Convention Bureau remains on call throughout, so if you have any problems or queries, or want to change your plans a little or introduce something new, LCB is ready to provide the support and advice you need.
Post-conference
After the last delegate and organiser has left, LCB begins a post-conference evaluation of the entire process, so both parties can learn, build and start to plan ahead.
LCB also operate the Liverpool City Region Ambassadors Programme, the Forum Legati. It is a network of academics and professionals whose collective aim is to promote Merseyside as a conference venue and support those that hold their conferences here. At present there are over 125 ambassadors, but the Forum Legati is always open to new members. As well as working to bring more events to Liverpool, it is a priceless networking opportunity, as the cream of the region's decision makers are involved. Ambassadors keep in touch with conferencing developments and regularly hold events themselves.
