Technical Services
The BT Convention Centre has an extensive resource of technical services and equipment to facilitate and add value to your event. Our in-house technical team has an in-depth knowledge of the venue and its possibilities. Our award-winning team can provide anything from an additional radio microphone to full event production including bespoke set designs, innovative lighting, cutting edge visuals and full project management, for a seamless event.
Inclusive packages
Visitors to the BT Convention Centre have an AV package included in the fee with each booking, which varies depending on the space you've hired; more detailed information about each package is available from your event manager or production technician, but the package includes a PA system in the larger halls, plus a screen, show projector and lighting. The smaller halls and meeting rooms contain a plasma screen as a minimum. For a complete list of equipment included in each space please download our inclusive package list.
A stage set is a very effective way of adding a sense of style and importance to your event; we can offer a range of stylish stock sets for each of our spaces, or arrange for a bespoke design, created from as little information as your corporate colours. All of our stage sets can have extensive branding added to them and, working alongside our lighting department, will be tailored to create the maximum visual impression with an affordable budget.
Lighting design
The BT Convention Centre’s lighting department has top-of-the-range lighting equipment, ranging from standard generic lighting to our large stock of VariLite moving lights. Our in-house lighting designers can put together custom designs for any situation, from a corporate stage presentation to architectural branding/decoration or a full live music show. Owning the equipment in-house means not only are we competitively priced, but we can provide seamless delivery alongside other inclusive technical services.
Vision and video services
Alongside the equipment visitors receive in the inclusive AV package we can also offer a large range of additional services, including live camera feeds during events, picture in picture projection, video relay of sessions around the venue and a fully-networked permanent slide preview server facility. On request we can also film and edit individual plenary presentations or whole events for distribution on DVD or via an internet-based live web stream.
Cutting edge communications
The BT Convention Centre has installed state of the art PolyCom video conference equipment in our main auditoriums and breakout rooms. We're able to offer extremely high speeds through our network and can stream high definition video from the auditorium to anywhere in the world, allowing presenters to appear remotely before conferences when time or budget constraints prohibit a personal appearance. We offer a similar standard definition service along with the opportunity for hosting video conferencing meetings with international clients and partners in our breakout rooms.
Project management
One of the main reasons to work with the BT Convention Centre’s technical department is the value we offer, including project management by a dedicated project manager, inclusive in your event’s rental price. The BT Convention Centre’s technical department is closely integrated with other departments, giving you a seamless service for event delivery, tailored specifically to your requirements and budget. Our knowledge of the venue’s capabilities are unsurpassed and our experience of previous events means we can deliver exceptional quality for an affordable budget.
Exhibitor AV services
The BT Convention Centre offers exhibitors full AV support with our partner Merseysound AV. To book equipment ranging from plasma screens to computers contact technical@accliverpool.com.
Exhibition stand rigging is provided by our partner Star Rigging and can be arranged through your event’s technical project manager.
N.B Electrical and internet connections for your stand can be ordered separately through your BT Convention Centre Event Manager.
